My Handmade Candles

Well as it’ll soon be Christmas I’ve been busy making lots of candles lately for craft fairs. Christmas is a great time for candles, as they make great presents and help brighten up the home on cold, dark winter nights.

Making candles is lots of fun and the possibilities are endless. I mainly make pillar candles and I like making them really bright colours! I make loads of great shapes and all sorts of different designs and scents.

My favourite type of candle is my rainbow candles. These are candles with all the different colours of the rainbow on – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet!

I’ve also been busy making special christmas candles in the Christmas colours of green, red and gold / yellow.

You can see some pictures of my candles at my candle gallery.

I made all the candles on there and that’s just a small selection of what I can make.

Making candles is really good fun and there’s so much you can do. There’s always loads of different styles to try out, new scents to use and weird and wonderful shaped candles!

I will be adding a making candles section to my webpage soon, so check it out if your interested in learning how to make candles yourself.

Anyway, best get back to my candle wax melting on the stove!!

My First Blog

Well, this is my first blog post on my first official blog. I thought it was about time to enter the technological age and set up a blog! I’m not sure how interesting it will be, or what I will focus on, but if you’re reading this the hello.

My name is Laura and at the time of writing this I am 24 years old. I’ve just finished an MSc in Environmental Sciences and am currently job hunting. I’m afraid to say job hunting really isn’t a lot of fun. You have to send off lots of applications and most never take the time to contact you. All the while you’re running out of money!

Still, it does mean I can play on the computer til much later at night and not have to worry about getting up early in the morning! Every cloud has a silver lining I guess!

Anyway I like lots of different things, from reading to being outdoors, watching tv to walking and making candles to finding ways to make money on the net!

I’ve set up two websites so far, one all about candle making, (which is still in it’s infancy) and another all about making money online. I’d love some feedback on the two sites!

Anyway, at the moment I’m busy trying to learn how to get my sites higher up in search engines, which is proving a rather time consuming task! Still, it’s getting there and it gives me something else to do when I’m bored of job hunting! Lol!

Anyway, if you got this far, hope you enjoyed reading my first blog post.

Goodbye

Laura
